DHL Consulting

We are looking for a Specialist Controlling (d/f/m) to further develop and run the global and local financial controlling and planning activities for DHL Data & Analytics. 

The DHL Data & Analytics team consists of more than 120 talented Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Data Scientists, and Architects. The headquarters is based in Bonn. DHL Data & Analytics aims to promote a data-driven culture and advance digitization within the DHL Group. 

You will have end-to-end responsibility for budgeting, controlling, management reporting and billing of data science services (including staffing of resources on projects). 

You will be employed as part of the HR & COO Team at DHL Consulting, who supports DHL Data & Analytics with all required back-office services. You are reporting to Finance resp. the CFO for DHL Data & Analytics and work closely with DHL Consulting’s Controlling and Staffing Expert. 

Main responsibilities:

Controlling

• Preparation of management reports for the Leadership Team, covering e.g., 
• Deep dives on financial performance 
• Revenue Forecasting 
• Management of monthly billing process  
• Risk Reporting 
• Interaction with the Data Science Leadership team to validate information 
• Main liaison to the Accounting Team (Shared Service Center) and GBS Controlling 
• Supporting and operating the DHL Data & Analytics costs allocation model 
• Driving of annual financial budget process and delivery against regular financial reporting needs (e.g. annual report, regular last estimates during reporting period) 
• Steering of the year-end auditing process 

Planning & Operations

Ownership of the weekly project staffing process collaborating closely with the management team including: 

• Consolidation of staffing needs and availabilities of Data Science and Data Engineering staff  
• Facilitation of staffing discussion round with the leadership team 
• Ownership of staffing tool, incl. additional enhancements and functionality updates
